Barça trounces Real Madrid

Posted on November 30th, 2010 by admin

El Clasico is the biggest match on the planet, but last night FC Barcelona walked all over Real Madrid, who simply looked like a bunch of overpaid prima donas. Particularly poor was Cristiano Ronaldo, but the entire squad struggled to keep up with Barça and the end result was five nil to the Catalans.

FC Barcelona are now top of the league with a well deserved win.

1-0, Xavi (min 10)
2-0, Pedro (min 17)
3-0, Villa (min 54)

Barça chalks up another win

Posted on November 8th, 2010 by admin

Barça once again managed to pull together to good effect on Sunday, dominating Getafe AND putting it in the goal too. Although Pique was sent off after two yellow cards and handing the hosts goal from the penalty spot Messi, Villa and Pedro all scored, with Xavi and Iniesta in good form too.

The result leaves Barça second in the league after Real Madrid kept three points in the Madrid derby.

0-1 Messi (min 22)
0-2 Villa (min 34)
0-3 Pedro (min 65)
1-3 Del Moral (min 69)

Draw against Copenhagen

Posted on November 3rd, 2010 by admin

Barça played Copenhagen last night in the Champions League return leg. After a hard fought 2-0 win at the Nou Camp it was going to be tough, although Barça effectively fielded a B team for that match.

With most of those missing players back in the squad the Catalans were really going for the goal. However, the only goal of the match for Barcelona came in the 31st minute from Leo Messi. They weren’t ahead for long though, with Copenhagen scoring the equaliser a minute later.

A disappointing result, perhaps, but Barça remains at the top of the table, although not guaranteed to go through.

0-1, Messi (min 31)
1-1, Claudemir (min 32)

Decisive victory against Sevilla

Posted on November 2nd, 2010 by admin

Barcelona seem to have found their form with their best result of the season against Sevilla. This 5-0 win shows that some of the less decisive form of the early part of the season might have been put behind them and the three points leave them in second place behind Real Madrid.

1-0, Messi (min 4)
2-0, Villa (min 24)
3-0, Alves (min 52)
4-0, Messi (min 63)
5-0, Villa (min 90)
