Arsenal ready to let Barca sign Fabregas [AFP]

Cesc Fabregas looks like he may at last be able to make the move to FC Barcelona according to a report by AFP this morning, which cites the Spanish press as its source.  The article states:

Arsenal have abandoned efforts to keep skipper Cesc Fabregas who could be set for a return to Spanish giants Barcelona, Spanish sports newspapers said Thursday.

Gunners coach Arsene Wenger has allowed his skipper to leave on condition he does not sign with another English team, the Barcelona-based daily Mundo Deportivo said, quoting a conversation between the two.

Fabregas has long wanted to make the move but negotiations between the two teams fell apart last year when they were unable to agree terms.
