Barça wins Spanish Supercup: Mourinho has another tantrum

Posted on August 18th, 2011 by admin

Barcelona beat real Madrid last night by 3 goals to 2 to take the Spanish Supercup after a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu on Sunday. However, the match was not without incident and once again Madrid’s players resorted to heavy handed tackles to take out the Barcelona offence at all costs.

The end of the match saw an ugly brawl involving players and coaching staff. However what stands out was Mourinho’s physical attack on Pep Guardiola’s assistant in which he can clearly be seen to push his finger into the eye of Tito Vilanova. After the match Mourinho was unrepentant and tt remains to see how far he can stretch the patience of his paymasters who are tainted by his constant unsporting behaviour.

As this report in The Telegraph says:

Another fantastic footballing spectacle between arguably the best two sides in Europe was again overshadowed by the antics of Mourinho, who thrust a finger in the eye of Barca assistant Tito Vilanova in a melee in the closing stages.
